The Hoxton

Originally hailing from humble beginnings in the hip and urban hub of London’s Shoreditch, The Hoxton line of trendy hotels has steadily made a name for itself across Europe and beyond thanks to its community-vibe, fair prices and pared-down interiors — and the Paris edition, while more polished than its predecessors, still manages to stay true to its roots.

Opened in 2017 in the heart of the Sentier district, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, this establishment is largest Hoxton hotel yet, with 172 guestrooms complemented by an urban-infused brasserie restaurant, two exotic cocktail bars + a new wine nook, and an edgy-design décor which perfectly balances English charm with that quintessential French touch —  courtesy of the collaborative design efforts of Soho House (the public areas), Humbert & Poyet (the bedrooms), and overall creative direction by Ennismore, Hoxton’s parent company.

Within its magnificent eighteenth century mansion are a selection of immaculately-appointed rooms, available in four different sizes — each with unique features: nooks, views and terraces located and featuring wooden herringbone flooring, elegant cornices, bold design walls and contemporary tiled bathrooms — and no matter what your room choice is, you'll be treated to the classic Hoxton benefits: a neighborhood guide, a free daily breakfast bag (delivered to your room), and free calls abroad.

Like its sibling locations across Europe (London, Netherlands) and the US (New York, Oregon, Illinois, California), The Hoxton Paris has also chosen the specifics of its surroundings well — and has made sure that the elegant neighborhood it calls home is filled with delicious restaurants and historic architecture.

During the day, the central, cobblestone streets around Sentier offer open-air markets and chic boutiques; while at night, the corner changes style and resonates laughter escaping the bistros. The Hoxton is also located a short walk from the Louvre, the Tuileries Garden and the beautiful streets of the Marais, for those who enjoy a stroll to take in the scenery during their stay.

Alternatively, if you prefer to stay in, the hotel also offers several in-house options to for drinking, dining and refined relaxation:

Rivié and its terrace restaurant which offers French brasserie cuisine using seasonal products and Asian flavors; the Jacques — a cosy cocktail spot, with Moroccan-inspired mixes created by the Hoxton team; and now, Planche — an intimate-yet-casual wine bar, hidden in the inner courtyard, which entices you to take a welcome break from the world outside to taste a wide selection of organic and natural wines, accompanied by the best cheeses and cold cuts from Europe.

Last but not least, there’s the hotel’s latest addition, The Riviera — a laid-back summer hideaway (and a good throw-back to sunnier days since it will even stay open for a few months in winter) opened in collaboration with Cointreau; and a true haven to escape from the city, where you can enjoy tailor-made cocktails, light dishes and homemade sorbets, not to mention a program of curated events, including live concerts, masterclasses, yoga brunch, pop-up stores and more.
