Et 20 L’été Festival
This weekend, June 22-23 2019, Paris’ 20th arrondissement bursts to life with a unique mix of free shows, philosophy, installations and music, with the 10th round of the Et 20 L’été Festival — a celebration dedicated to street arts, organized by the quartier’s town hall and the association Paris Culture 20e.
For four full days, this event sees programmed companies make the city their playground — involving even the residents and passers-by as unsuspecting actors to participate in the theatre productions, circus acts and moving & still art installations which fill the rues of this right bank suburb for the festival.
Under the slogan 'Thinking of the city in a different way', Et 20 L’été sees several free spectacles, performances, music troops and artists combined to form a funky, open-air street party where actors use urban furniture as a tool of creation to entertain, delight — and in some ways, confuse!
In a nutshell — an original and quirky fusion of the strange, funny, poetic, philosophical and artistic, meddled together adorably in that way that only the French can truly pull off.
Perfect for: A curious event to check out if you’re after something different to make your weekend pop and ignite your imagination with street-filled fun on the cheap.
Dates: Saturday, June 22nd, 12pm-4.30pm / Sunday June 23rd, 12pm-4pm.
