Global creative content agency The Ink Collective is on the hunt for an energetic, highly-motivated and organised individual to join their expanding team as a Business Development Manager for the UK/US and Australia markets.

Specialising in the fashion, luxury, travel and lifestyle sectors, our business unites talented freelancers from all corners of the globe to craft contemporary design and communication solutions for people, brands and corporations — and we’re on a mission to expand.

Role Description

As The Ink Collective’s Business Development Manager for the UK/US and Australia, you will be an essential cornerstone for the business and part of a team which will eventually comprise of six BDM’s around the world – each responsible for their own designated markets.

Whilst reporting to the founders of the business (based in Paris), you will be solely in charge of laying the foundations of the business sales structure in your markets, building new business partnerships, conceptualising and forging innovative collaborations with companies that reflect aspects of the INK DNA, and assisting in identifying and recruiting new creative freelancers based in the region/s for the company’s international network.

The role – whilst initially focused on research (of potential clients and revenue streams), strategy and some administrative duties to assist in laying the foundations of the business sales structure on a global scale – is one that we expect the candidate to grow into, including eventual autonomous management of their market and coordinating and managing any contractors (freelancers) tasked with projects in their designated region (including project management and timely delivery of jobs contracted).

The evolution of the role will also see the candidate not only researching new business deals and possible collaborative partnerships, but also becoming the face and voice of The Ink Collective in the designated region, assuming responsibility for all contractors and activities in the region.

This is a position which requires a highly-motivated and organised individual who truly identifies with the INK DNA and has a penchant for seeing and seizing business and sales opportunities in every meeting and research assignment. Prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to customer needs, territory management, time management, garnering and passing on of market knowledge, presentation skills, energy level, and meeting sales goals, are also qualities essential to mastering this role – as is the requirement to be well-presented and professional at all times.
